Who can see the photos and videos?
Only people with access to the code or QR code can join the event, post, and see the media. There are no public feeds or strangers, and the host stays in control.
Do guests need to create an account?
Guests join through an event code or a QR code with an event-specific session. The host decides who can participate.
What exactly does the host keep?
On the Free plan, media (compressed and watermarked) is available for 7 days. On paid plans, hosts can download original photos for 30 days (Celebration) or 60 days (Big Event). After this window, compressed versions remain available for up to 1 year — with virtually no visible difference, though without the original uncompressed file profile. Original videos are not retained.
How does moderation work?
Nysus uses local AI screening within the app to detect suspicious media before upload, combined with guest-led reporting. Hosts can set approvals to automatic or pending. Reports can be sent to the host or directly to app support, and any content flagged by multiple guests is automatically moderated.
